Having trouble logging into your online banking on Barclays’ website or mobile app? You’re not alone. The bank has confirmed it’s experiencing issues with both this afternoon.
On its service status page, Barclays has said its mobile app and Barclays.co.uk site are currently experiencing problems and that its teams are working to fix both.
Independent outage monitor Downdetector has corroborated the information from Barclays’ service status page. The site has registered over 270 reports at one time from customers insisting their online and mobile banking isn’t working properly.
Discussing the matter on Twitter, one Barclays customer said: “Barclays app and online banking inaccessible since this morning. Any ETA when this is resolved?”
Another wrote: “Hey Barclays is your internet banking down? When I try to make a payment it gets stuck after I have put in the payment details.”
It’s currently unclear what caused the Barclays outage, or when it will be fixed.
