Today (US time) will see the launch of a big new Call of Duty Modern Warfare update across all platforms. The good news is that it will likely contain all the delayed COD Season 4 content confirmed earlier this month by Activision. Call of Duty Warzone will reportedly get new playlists and weapons, while Modern Warfare is expected to receive fresh maps and missions. That’s without mentioning the new Call of Duty MW Battle Pass, which is being headlined by a new Captain Price skin.

There are even rumours that Warzone will be getting some new map changes which could tie in with the next Call of Duty game somehow.

Developers Infinity Ward has not confirmed its full plans for the coming months yet, but the good news is we know when we will be finding out more.

WHAT IS THE CALL OF DUTY MODERN WARFARE SEASON 4 RELEASE TIME?

According to Infinity Ward, the Call of Duty Modern Warfare Season 4 release time has been set for 7am GMT in the UK, on Thursday, June 11, 2020.

Due to the time difference, COD gamers in the United States will receive the big Call of Duty Modern Warfare update at 11pm PT, on June 10, 2020.

This is a unified launch, meaning that gamers on PS4, Xbox One and PC will receive the new patch at the same time.

A message from Infinity Ward adds: “Intel Incoming on Season Four. New #ModernWarfare and #Warzone content is live tonight, June 10th @ 11PM PDT!”

So what about some early patch notes to check out for Modern Warfare Season 4?

“Once installed, the S4 launch will only take up an additional 4GB on consoles for all of the new content.

“We’re continuing to sweep all assets to make size reductions where we can, and also further optimize future patches for size.

“If helpful, one reminder for console players, you can uninstall the content packs for modes that you’re not playing if you want to free up space.

“Patch notes will go up later this evening. As always, keep an eye on @InfinityWard as I’ll share them there first.”

If recent reports are to be believed, today’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare update will weigh in at around 40GB to download.

However, after it is installed, the new patch will only increase the size of the game by around 4GB.

Which is still significant, considering that Modern Warfare can take up almost 200GB on some platforms.
