UPDATE: Bungie has chosen Exodus Blue as this week’s Trials of Osiris map in Destiny 2, complete with new loot to unlock.
From what has been shared so far by Guardians, the three-win Trials reward for May 28 includes an Arms Armour Piece, with more news below on what0 weapons can be unlocked.
TRIALS OF OSIRIS REWARDS:
- Three Wins: Gauntlets – Arms
- Five Wins: Eye of Sol Sniper Rifle
- Seven Wins: Helmet Piece
- Flawless: Shayura’s Wrath Adept Submachine Gun
ORIGINAL: The Trials of Osiris will be back in Destiny 2 today, as Bungie gears up for some interesting changes in the future. For those preparing to take on the PvP challenge, Bungie will be unlocking a fresh set of Osiris rewards in the coming hours.
This will include a combination of armour and weapons, one of which will be Adept. This Adept weapon will be the top loot available and will require a Flawless run in the Trials.
The next Destiny 2 Trials of Osiris matches will be kicking off at 6pm BST on Friday, May 28, 2021. These rewards will be available between now and June 1, which is when the next Weekly Reset will happen.
Bungie won’t be announcing the loot list themselves, with Guardians having to rely on reports from their fellow gamers.
We also know that Saint-14 is the full-time Trials of Osiris vendor, residing in the Tower Hangar with his pigeons and ship.
And visiting him will be worth it for those who can smash through the Crucible and score some wins as Saint’s inventory updates with Trials Passages, Bounties, and the option to turn in Trials Tokens.
The map rotations continue each week, although Bungie has made changes to the weapons you can pick up during an event.
Last week saw Bungie offer the Exile’s Curse Fusion Rifle as a three-win weapon, and the Sola’s Scar Adept Sword as the Flawless loot.
May has also seen Bungie release a new weapon as part of Trials, meaning something similar could happen in the coming weeks.
Trials of Osiris is set to remain part of Bungie’s plans for the foreseeable future, with the development team planning to make changes that will affect it.
Bungie has lifted data straight from the Trials to help shape what they are planning, revealing in a new post:
“Looking at recent gameplay data, the Behemoth generally has the highest win rate of any subclass in most 6v6 game modes and is also among the strongest in 3v3 modes. In Trials of Osiris matches, for example, only top-tree Dawnblade has a higher win rate. We’ve taken these strengths into account when balancing the Behemoth’s abilities
“The Revenant’s Crucible win rate, kills per minute, and average efficiency is generally within the top six of all subclass trees, but its usage rate is incredibly high. In Trials of Osiris matches, it has the fifth-highest win rate of any subclass tree, but is used by a whopping 36% of Trials players.
“The Shadebinder’s Crucible performance is generally within the top ten of all subclass trees. In Trials of Osiris matches, it had the 9th highest win rate of all subclass trees. While the Shadebinder may not be the most powerful in competitive play, being frozen by its abilities takes a large emotional toll on the victim.”
Gamers can expect changes to be made to these classes within the coming months.
