Suggesting what to do, the @EpicGames Twitter account posted: “We’re aware that some users are encountering the following error message on the Epic Games Store: ‘Your account is unable to download any more free games at this time’.

“If you receive this error, please wait 24 hours. You should then be able to proceed with downloading the game.”

The official Epic Games Store Twitter account also on Friday noted that an MD-0011 message had hit users.

When the issue hit the Fortnite makers said: “We’re aware that players may currently be encountering MD-0011 errors for some titles. We’re working on a solution for this and will provide an update when it is resolved.”

Thankfully this issue was resolved within a few hours time, so if this problem does crop up again anytime soon hopefully Epic will be able to fix it just as quickly.

These issues have been hitting the Epic Games Store amid huge demand for the GTA V free deal, which launched alongside the start of the latest Mega Sale on Thursday.

This sale also offers money saving deals on top titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2, Control and The Outer Worlds.

If you haven’t managed to redeem the free GTA 5 offer then fear not as the deal runs until Thursday May 21.
