Seasoned Fortnite players are ready to shed the festive theme of Season 7 and embrace a raft of new updates from Epic Games. Fortnite seasons typically drop on players every two to three months, giving Epic plenty of time to update the game with new cosmetics, items and maps. With a seasonal update comes a new Battle Pass, new challenges and in the case of Season 7 – a whole new Creative Mode. Although Epic is yet to officially announce a release date for its next big update, Express.co.uk has uncovered some hints pointing to a February release.
What is the Fortnite Season 8 release date?
As Season 8 of Fortnite draws nearer with each passing day, fans will be pleased to know the update could go live by the end of February.
The Fortnite Season 7 was recently extended by a whole two weeks, likely pushing back the Season 8 release date.

With this in mind, Fortnite fans are expecting new map areas, weapons, cosmetics and gliders.
Some keen-eyed Redditors believe Fortnite Season 8 will be Medieval-themed with knights, lances and castles.
Fortnite player LethalSnowmeme speculated hints and clues spread out across all Fortnite seasons will come together next month.
The Reddit user posted online: “So what I think is gonna happen is very simple.
“We have four locations pointed out here, being the ice castle, the haunted castle, the villain lair, and the hero base.
“Each location will be claimed as a territory by its corresponding skin.”
These corresponding sins are the previously released Ice King, the Royal Knight, the Red Knight and the Black Knight.
Other eagle-eyed players have discovered three massive dragon eggs hidden in the glacial ice near Polar Peak. Is this more evidence of a medieval update in the works?
But with the icy portions of the Fortnite map likely thawing at the end of Season 7, some have suggested Season 8 is headed for an aquatic theme instead.
One clue is hidden in the recently released Fishstick skin – an anthropomorphic goldfish in blue overalls.
