How do venture deals really work?

Whether you’re an entrepreneur raising funds or an investor looking to take your venture finance skills to the next level, Brad Feld and Jason Mendelson have the answers for you.

Techstars co-founder Brad Feld and Techstars mentor Jason Mendelson—both renowned venture capitalists, partners at the Foundry Group, and authors of Venture Deals: Be Smarter Than Your Lawyer and Venture Capitalist—are again giving their FREE online course Venture Deals.

You’re invited to join the over 15,000 people who have already taken this FREE course. Classes begin April 7, 2019.

“We’re going to talk about what makes Venture Capitalists tick, how we get paid, all the incentives that entrepreneurs never hear about, and how those play into the negotiations you’re going to have with VCs one day, through either convertible debt or preferred stock deal,” said Jason. “We’re really excited to make this all transparent in a way that has never been done before.”

Along with the Kauffman Fellows Academy, Techstars is proud to be hosting this course. Give First is an important Techstars value, and this course will help entrepreneurs everywhere grow their companies and build a better future.

Venture Deals is a 7 week, collaborative, “learn-by-doing” online course where you will watch videos from Brad and Jason along with doing project work as virtual teams. The workload for the course is about four to six hours per week. Enrolled participants will have the opportunity to ask Brad and Jason questions live during exclusive video chats.

“In addition to going deep on all aspects of the term sheet, we’re also going to talk to you about basic negotiation theory, and we’re going to give you a good sense for all the different dynamics that go around a financing,” Brad said. “We’re excited to bring this course to you, and look forward to going on a journey with you.”

Enrollment for the Venture Deals Course is open now, and classes begin April 7, 2019. Secure your spot HERE.
