GTA 5 Online remains hugely popular on PS4, Xbox One and PC, even with the impending release of Red Dead Redemption 2.
And while both games will start to compete online in November, that didn’t stop Rockstar Games offering some tasty crossover deals this month.
Players could earn GTA$300,000 in bonus cash along with an instantly unlockable Green Wireframe Body Suit, simply by logging in before October 15th.
This deal has now passed; however, the good news is that the money from that should be hitting in-game bank accounts soon.
Big payouts are still available for players looking to finish the Red Dead Redemption 2 Double-Action Revolver & Stone Hatchet Challenges though, both delivering double GTA$250,000 bonuses each for completion (each doubled bonus will be received by logging in the next week).
Players who have already finished the challenges can also receive a big payout of GTA$250K per challenge anytime through the 29th.
There’s also the extra bonus for if you pre-ordered Red Dead Redemption, receiving $1m on top of the rest of the other deals.
And while not quite as generous as last week’s deals, Rockstar Games is offering some new ones this week.
Double GTA$ & RP opportunities are available this week in Gunrunning, VIP/CEO Work and Stunt Races.
Gunrunning Sell missions are doling out Double GTA$ & RP, while Bunker Research has been upped with a 25% speed boost.
Owners of a Mobile Operations Center can also enjoy Double GTA$ & RP for launching any Weaponized Vehicle Mission, all until October 22nd .
Meanwhile, VIP/CEO Work & Challenges are also giving out Double GTA$ & RP, with double rewards for those who take out rivals’ Super Yachts in Piracy Prevention as well.
Fans are hoping that all this extra money is being pumped into the game for a purpose, maybe even for a new update.
Not much is known about Rockstar’s future content plans for GTA Online, only that something has been in the works to follow the Night Life content.
October seems like the perfect time for a new DLC to be launched, what with Red Dead Redemption 2 arriving at the end of the month.
Anything being released before the start of the Red Dead Online beta would also make sense, although no information has been provided on what is coming next to GTA Online.
Fans remain hopeful of something fresh being added to the game before Red Dead Online becomes the centre of attention, heading into 2019.
Red Dead Online, meanwhile, will launch in November 2018 and look to offer something to entice fans.
“Red Dead Online is an evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption, blending narrative with competitive and cooperative gameplay in fun new ways,” Rockstar Games confirms.
“Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.”
GTA 5 is an open sandbox title from Rockstar Games, out now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
