What the future holds remains to be seen, but Huawei have been preparing to go their own way without Google.

Last August the P40 Pro makers unveiled HarmonyOS, their answer to Google’s Android software – which is in development.

While Huawei has also talked up the possibility of Google apps appearing on their own App Gallery marketplace.

But while there are plenty of plans in place Huawei has opened the door to working with Google again in the future.

Richard Yu, the CEO of the Chinese smartphone giant, revealed the news during an interview with Asia Times Financial.

As revealed in a post online, Yu said: “Huawei is not rejecting Google products, and we hope to continue to work with Google in the future.
