Instagram is used by over one billion people across the globe every month, making the app easily one of the biggest social networks around.
However, this week the software has been hit by three major outages that have incited user frustration.
Independent outage monitor Downdetector has registered over 700 reports from users this afternoon insisting Instagram is not working as normal once again.
A map on the site showed affected areas to be the UK, US and parts of South America.
The page claimed 88 percent of users reporting problems said it surrounded Instagram’s news feed.
Another eight percent appeared to be having trouble taking advantage of the app’s signature Stories feature.
Finally, three percent stated they were experiencing issues when trying to post.
In response to the outage, a number of users migrated to Twitter to vent their frustration.
One said: “Instagram almost every day you’re down. What’s wrong with you.”
Another wrote: “I’d like to know why Instagram is down AGAIN.”
A third declared: “Literally not even surprised Instagram is down AGAIN.”
Today’s outage marks the third time Instagram has been down this week – the app also experienced problems on Wednesday and Thursday.
Express.co.uk will be updating this page with the latest server status for Instagram.
