Liverpool will take on Arsenal at Anfield in the Premier League this evening.
Liverpool go into tonight’s game at the top of the table and having not lost a Premier League game all season.
The last time Liverpool dropped points in the Premier League title race was back in November when they drew 1-1 with Arsenal at the Emirates.
Since then Jurgen Klopp’s side have won every Premier League game they’ve played.
Arsenal meanwhile are 13 points behind Liverpool and in their last five Premier League matches have only won two games.
During that run they suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Southampton and dropped points also against Brighton.
Speaking ahead of today’s game though, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp spoke about the threat that Arsenal pose.
He said: “They [Arsenal] are good, strong with the ball and very lively. Their counter-attacks are crazy quick.
“[Pierre-Emerick] Aubameyang and [Alexandre] Lacazette are a good strike two. Outstanding strikers up front, quick on the wings – a really good team.”
While Arsenal boss Unai Emery spoke about the chances of Liverpool emulating the Gunners and going a whole Premier League season unbeaten.
He said: “They can do that because they are doing it at the moment.
“We played against Liverpool three [seasons] ago with Sevilla in the final of the Europa League and I look at this progress and they are a very good example.
“This progress is also one example for us, now, in our moment.
“But we need to be very, very demanding of ourselves to do this step quickly in our way.
“But we need also time and sometimes the patience is very important for us.”
