Huawei’s Mate 20 Pro is currently being sold for just £599 which is a huge saving off its original £799 cost.

UK retailer, Argos, is boasting that this is their ‘lowest price’ for this phone and it’s certainly very good value right now.

However, although £599 is a decent deal there is a way to buy this phone at a price that offers even more value for money. has just released contract deals on this Huawei flagship for just £20 per month with a £125 upfront fee.

The total you’ll pay for this offer over two years is £605 which is actually just £6 more than going SIM-free and that’s not the only good news.

Because this is a contract deal you get 4GB of data, free calls and texts thrown in as well.

If you buy the Mate 20 Pro on a SIM-free deal from Argos you’ll have to add data, calls and texts to the overall price.

If the Mate 20 Pro takes your fancy then you’ll be treated to a device with a stunning 6.4-inch edge-to-edge screen which even includes an embedded fingerprint scanner under the glass.

Spin the device round and there’s a triple rear camera which offers improved zoom and a wide-angle lens.

Under the hood is a fast Kirin 980 processor, large 4,200mAh battery and this device can refill other phone and accessories via reverse wireless charging technology.

Although these deals are cheap it’s worth being aware of the current climate that surrounds Huawei and its phones.

The Chinese firm was recently placed on a blacklist which means US firms, including Google, are being blocked from working with the company.

Although this ban is now under review there’s no confirmation that Huawei will get future Android updates from Google which is clearly a concern if you are considering buying one.

To help customers understand more about the issues, Huawei has created a web page which explains more about its future plans.

The Chinese tech giant has also confirmed “technical preparations and testing” for Andriod Q had begun for over 17 of its smartphones including the Mate 20 Pro.

It’s also worth remembering that the Mate 20 Pro could soon be superseded by the new Mate 30 Pro which looks set to include more cameras and the inclusion of a much faster processor.
