UPDATE: Console hunters are being warned that multiple next-gen console drops are expected to happen between July 6 and July 9.

A PS5 stock drop from GAME is expected to happen between today and July 8, alongside other retailers like Very and Smyths Toys. Other retailers that could drop this week include ASDA and John Lewis.

Gamers are being told to be ready by 8am BST To check for new console shipments, with restocking expected to start between 8am BST, and 11am BST.

More news on this week’s possible stock drop dates can be found below.

ORIGINAL: New predictions have been made regarding the next big PS5 stock drop in the UK from leading retailers. GAME could be the next store to offer a digital PS5 restock from what has been shared so far.

And there are also reports from PS5 Instant over on Twitter that claim GAME will be joined by Smyths Toys. We only have a series of dates right now for when these drops might happen, but this could be whittled down and become much clearer as we get closer to the retail events.

And for those wondering, July 6 is the earliest date we could see PS5 stock appear online again. The GAME UK release is expected to happen between July 6 and July 15, meaning that the PS5 stock update could happen over the next ten days.

That leaves a lot of dates for fans to cover and means these latest predictions should be taken with a big pinch of salt.

The dates for the Smyths restock are narrower and could happen between July 9 and July 16, according to PS5 Instant.

The GAME PS5 restock is expected to happen in the morning between 9am BST and 11am BST, like earlier stock drops from the retailer.

Meanwhile, Smyths Toys could release their latest console shipment between 8am BST and 1pm BST.

Amazon UK has also been linked with a new shipment of PS5 consoles that will be available to buy during July 2021.

However, while GAME and Smyths could drop their stock this week, Amazon isn’t expected to do the same until at least around July 14.

And even then, there’s a good chance that fans will have to wait a little longer to have a chance at buying a next-gen console.

Gamers should also note that smaller restocks have been happening in-store at some locations.

This started in June and included restocks at Currys, Argos and GAME, with more expected to follow.

These are some of the latest updates from PS5 Instant regarding the next major PlayStation stock drops in July:

“Next Amazon PS5 shipment is expected between 13-21st July- big shipment. EXCLUSIVE: Smyth PS5 Restock arriving 9-16th July (8-1pm).

“GAME 6-15th July (9-11am) as we previously posted. Most likely 6-8th.”

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected during July.

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock update is expected to start in early July.
