PUBG Lite is rolling out in Europe soon after previously getting released in regions such as India and Thailand.

PUBG Lite is a standalone product from the main PUBG experience which is available on the PS4, Xbox One and PCs.

PUBG Lite has its own dedicated dev team creating content for it and adding maps to it that will be familiar to PUBG players.

PUBG Lite is designed as a title that is less specs heavy, meaning more Battle Royale fans can enjoy the experience.

And, best of all, PUBG Lite will be a free-to-download title at launch.

PUBG Lite has a release date of Thursday October 10 in the UK.

A start time has not been confirmed yet but server downtime is scheduled for the PUBG Lite release date.

So, it seems likely that PUBG Lite will launch in Europe following this server maintenance.

PUBG Lite server maintenance is scheduled between 4am and 10am BST.

On launch day PUBG Lite fans will be able to try out Erangel, the first map that was introduced to the game.

Other maps are restricted for now, and on Erangel players will be able to try out the solo, duo and squads modes.
