The F1 season starts next weekend in Melbourne and ahead of the first race Sky has launched an exclusive new deal.
The firm’s NOW TV streaming service is offering motorsport fans the chance to watch the whole season for £195 – that’s a reduction of almost 50 per cent off the normal cost.
This sports pass not only includes the F1 channel but all of Sky’s other sporting stations plus the option to register four devices and watch on two at the same time.
It’s worth noting that Sky has got almost full rights to this year’s F1 season with channel 4 showing the British Grand Prix live and the highlights of all other races.
For anyone who hasn’t paid to watch F1 before £195 is clearly expensive but it’s not as costly as taking out a new Sky Q subscription.
That will set you back £22 per month with Sky currently offering the F1 channel for an extra £10 – a total of £33 per month.
Unlike NOW TV, which doesn’t require a long-term contract, Sky Q customers will also need to sign-up to an 18-month initial period and there’s usually an upfront fee to pay.
However, if you already have Sky and want to watch F1 then the £10 per month offer saves £8 off the current cost and is a good way of keeping up with all the action.
Along with NOW TV offering this new sporting deal, there’s also another good bundle with a 30-day free trial of Entertainment and Cinema on offer.
This pack, which ends on Thursday, also comes with five months of Kids entertainment for £5.
If you want to take NOW TV up on any of these bundles then you’ll need a compatible streaming device.
These include most smartphones, smart TVs, next-gen gaming consoles and NOW TV’s own streaming stick or set-top box.
A fast broadband connection is also recommended as all of the content you watch is streamed via the web.
