Sky has revealed three new sporting offers ahead of this year’s F1 season which kicks off later next month.
The satellite TV firm has almost exclusive rights to live Formula One in 2019 with only the British Grand Prix and highlights of the other races being shown on Channel 4.
This means that fans who want to watch all the action as it happens will need to take out a Sky subscription.
There’s no getting around the fact that it will be an expensive option for anyone who hasn’t paid to watch F1 before but Sky has released two deals which are aimed at cutting the cost.
Firstly there’s Sky’s £10 per month deal which adds the F1 channel to existing bundles without needing to pay for other Sports coverage.
If you already have Sky this is one of the cheapest ways to watch but it’s worth noting that new customers will need to take out a Sky Q with Entertainment pack to tune in.
This pack currently costs £22 per month so adding F1 will give you a monthly bill of a least £32.
If that sounds like too much to pay then there is another option with Sky’s NOW TV streaming service offering a full 9-month F1 season ticket for £195.
Sky says this deal is down nearly 50 per cent from the regular price.
To watch NOW TV you’ll need a smart TV or compatible streaming stick or set-top box.
A good broadband connection is also recommended as all the footage is accessed via the web.
The deal will be available from March 2 to May 31.
This NOW TV deal has gone live as the firm has also cut the cost of Sky Sports Pass.
This means you can currently get three months of action for £20 – a saving of 40 per cent off the usual price.
This offer ends today – Thursday February 28.
