Smash Bros Ultimate players may have discovered who will be the Fighters Pass 5 DLC character ahead of the next Nintendo Direct. Nintendo Switch gamers are waiting for official word on who will be the fifth and final DLC character for the Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pass. The Smash Bros Ultimate Fighters Pass 5 DLC character is set to be released by the end of next month.
And fans are hoping for an official announcement soon, with the reveal expected to take place in an upcoming Nintendo Direct.
Latest rumours suggest that, despite a Pokemon Direct happening this week, a Nintendo Direct could take place next week.
And ahead of the rumoured Nintendo Direct a leak could have revealed who will be the next Smash Bros DLC character.
As reported on in a post by Inverse, an alleged leak that emerged at the end of 2019 could have revealed who will be the next Fighters Pass character.
This alleged leak detailed announcements that will reportedly come in the next Nintendo Direct.
It has been claimed that in a January 2020 Nintendo Direct a new Mario Golf game and port of Resident Evil 7 Biohazard will be announced.
The rumoured Direct will also see a Shenmue 1 and 2 compilation announced as well as a port of Cruis’n Blast.
Rare Replay will also be reportedly getting a much demanded Switch release as well as Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
The alleged leak also said the Smash Bros Fighters Pass DLC 5 character will finally get announced.
And it claimed that this character will be No More Heroes’ Travis Touchdown.
Suda51’s badass hero would surely be an interesting addition to Smash Bros, but it remains to be seen whether this ‘leak’ is real or a fake.
There are certainly some alarm bells that ring when reading through the post.
The alleged leak says a North America release for Brain Training will get announced during the Direct.
But it says this new Dr Kawashima game will launch in April – which is a fair few months after the recent UK release this month.
The post also says the Smash Bros DLC is launching in winter 2020 – but we already know it will be released by February 2020.
This could be a simple typo, but it could also indicate that the leak is a fake.
And finally, the alleged Smash Bros leak comes from notorious internet message board 4chan where numerous fake leaks are posted.
So, as always until official confirmation it’s best to take these claims with a big pinch of salt.
Nintendo fans will hopefully find out for certain who will be the next Smash Bros DLC character soon with a Direct rumoured to be taking place next week.
Latest rumours claim that a new Direct could happen as early as next Thursday.
This comes courtesy of Devil May Cry 3 producer Matt Walker who told fans to save some dates in the diary for some surprise news.
One of the dates Walker gave was Thursday January 16, which is when a Direct with Devil May Cry news may drop.
