PS5 UK restock: Currys PlayStation 5 stock drop confirmed | Gaming | Entertainment

Sony’s PlayStation 5 will be back in stock at Currys this week due to a new wave of pre-orders available in the UK.

The store announced the news this week, revealing a list of stores that will be getting consoles to sell.

The big downside is that these PS5 consoles will not be available to buy via the digital store.

So if you want to see what Currys store will have PlayStation 5 consoles, you should check out the official Currys site.

A message posted this week on the official storefront reads: “Grab a PS5 Disk bundle at selected stores today. Get in quick, though – there’s limited stock.

“Want to bring home a brand-new PS5 today? We’ve got a bunch of PlayStation 5 Disk bundles in selected stores right now. And to make it fair for everyone, we’re limiting it to one PS5 per person.

“Plus, don’t forget to ask in-store about our PlayStation trade-in and flexible credit deals. Getting your hands on a PS5 is easier than ever.”

There have also been reports that Amazon UK will be offering another shipment for gamers to buy from later this week.

This remains a prediction for now, but it appears that Amazon will have next-gen consoles in stock in late August or early September.

This means that Amazon should be offering thousands of PlayStation 5 consoles to buy before the end of September 2021.

No set date has been confirmed by the reliable stock tracker account PS5 Stock UK, but more news could be shared in the next 24-hours.

And Argos is another retailer that is expected to offer PS5 stock over the coming weeks, having already released thousands during August.

However, it should be noted that Argos is not expected to restock during the current month, meaning it will arrive in September.

Knowing when a PS5 restock is happening can be vital, but it’s also worth knowing how each retailer handles its shipments.

And here are a few examples of how best to try and buy a PlayStation 5 console from leading UK retailers:

ARGOS: The Argos website is notorious for crashing and being unable to complete purchases when site traffic is high. Stock trackers suggest using the mobile Argos app and keeping an eye on local store listings.

GAME: GAME is a UK retailer that offers the most regular stock updates for PS5 consoles. However, console hunters have been warned to use Guest Checkout, as this option is less likely to crash when completing a purchase. The next PS5 stock is expected in September.

AMAZON UK: Amazon UK runs better under strain but still comes with a few kinks worth mentioning. Having an account set up with your card details is a good start, and gamers should also try adding a console to their wishlist before checking out. More stock is expected before the end of August 2021.
